Corra Group Customizes Employment Screening Packages Domestically and Globally for Employers in the Technology Industry

Corra Group is customizing packages to meet the needs of employers in the technology industry. In order to assure that their needs are met for both in-house hiring and for contractual compliance, Corra Group has expanded its suite of background checks both domestically and globally.

“We realize employers in the technology industry have the need for a variety of background checks,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Nick Gustavson. “Some employers are conducting employment screening for in-house hiring and many are running background checks to be in compliance with contractual mandates for both government contracts and for affiliates and partners who in turn need to fulfill compliance mandates.

“Some of our clients have direct contracts with government agencies,” said Gustavson. “But many are working on a contractual basis for the larger multi-nationals, the bigger companies if you will. And the larger companies in turn have substantial government contracts that they will never risk breaching. So they require the small firms who do the contractual work for them conduct a government mandated employment screening package .”

Gustavson pointed out that employment screening for compliance mandates typically include criminal records checks, education verification, employment verification, and the global terror watch list. He noted that in the case of foreign employees, if the candidate has not worked in the United States for a minimum of seven years it is then required the employer conduct an international criminal check as well as education verification, no matter where the candidate attended college.

Corra Group Attends the 2018 ATX Conference

Corra Group recently attended the 2018 ATX Automation Technology Show, in Anaheim, California. The show is branded as the largest design manufacturing conference in North America’s, and a “don’t miss experience.” Hundreds of exhibitors have on display and in demo mode products for automation technology, robotics, and 3 D Printing.

“Corra Group is based in El Segundo, California,” said Corra Group Co-Founder, Gordon Basichis. El Segundo is one of the premier centers for defense, aerospace, robotics, and advanced technology. In El Segundo, some of the major innovators in this space are our neighbors. Corra Group offers its employment screening services to these companies as well as to business entities national and globally. With all the changes in the working environment, automation and robotics are key components in the expanding modern industries.

“The ATX Automation Technology Show was a major success,” said Basichis. “There were far more exhibitors than last year, and attendance had to be triple of what it was for the previous show. When I spoke to clients and other exhibitors, they told me business were coming to buy. Companies had extra financial allocations, based on the recent corporate tax cuts, and now they were looking to upgrade their manufacturing facilities.”

Basichis noted that the technology has improved in just the past year. He pointed out that the robots were cheaper, faster, and more sophisticated. He cited how some didn’t require their own power source but could run simply by plugging them into any standard electric outlet.
