The job market is more robust than it has been in years. This is no secret. As the economy transits out of a competitive job market to one where the employment candidate has some advantage, it is clear employers have to move faster in order to hire the more talented applicants, those most suited for their working environment.
According to an article in Bloomberg…”Companies recognize it’s getting harder to find employees, so they’re making their hiring decisions more quickly, Joerres added. Employers now take about three months on average to hire a worker from the time they put in a request with Manpower. That’s down 30 percent from about 18 months ago.”
So one bit of caution. Never be in so much of a hurry to hire a job candidate that you don’t conduct a thorough package of background checks. Employment screening is a necessity in a world where there are far too many surprises potentially about an applicant’s checkered past.
