Corra Group has added new background searches to its corporate research and employment screening programs. The new background checks can serve a dual purpose for both researching potential business partners as well as discerning the employment history of job applicants.
“A key factor in employment screening, especially at the more senior levels, is the veracity of a candidate’s claims that he not only worked at where he claimed he worked, but the dates he is claiming also hold true,” said Gordon Basichis, Corra Group Co-Founder. “Any significant gap in a senior executive’s employment history can arouse suspicions.”
“With the candidate’s consent, we can now acquire the candidate’s complete employment history as he reported it to the IRS,” said Basichis. “We can not only conduct employment verification based on the employment history the candidate provided, but our clients can now gain a comprehensive overview of its candidate’s entire employment chronology.”
Basichis commented that this new instrument can apply to employment screening but also for co-venture and partnership opportunities, where venture capital, private equity, and other investment groups want to confirm the principal’s expertise in the related industrial space.
