At Corra Group we routinely report court closures. Usually, the court closures are due to budget concerns or inclement weather. But this terrible event is in a league all of it’s own. A terrible tragedy when the courts, the halls of justice, become dangerous places unto themselves. What an awful situation. I would define this as “unbelievable,” but unfortantely these situations are becoming far too common.
3 Dead in New Castle Courthouse Shooting
Court Locked Down for Investigation
An assailant opened fire this morning at Delaware’s New Castle courthouse, killing two civilians and wounding two police officers. The assailant was also killed. CHR researchers were not present in the courthouse during the shooting.
Results for Delaware will be delayed until the courts reopen. We apologize for any inconvenience.
