A Revisit on Industrial Espionage

Industrial espionage is increasingly a concern for employers.  Be it manufacturers of hard good or manufacturers of technology and related services, if your business is worth noting then you can be sure someone is out there thinking about acquiring your trade secrets.   In a bad economy, where businesses are watching every dollar, it stands to reason that some of the more nefarious types may find it more cost-effective to steal trade secrets than conduct their own research and development programs.

Some companies are more vulnerable than others.   But to believe your business is inured from industrial espionage or not particularly vulnerable to attack, then think again.  Most i9ndustrial espionage comes from inside jobs.

On Education Verification

Before the year is out, it’s time to revisit some of my postings from the previous year.  One subject of great concern for employers conducting background checks for their employment screening program are education verification background searches.

As the economy remains on shaky ground and as the job market is highly competitive, more employment candidates lie on their resumes about their schooling.  Some will cliam graduation when in fact it was enrollment only.  And some will claim a degree when they never went near the school.

New Hampshire Court Closings for Christmas Eve

For those conducting background checks as part of their employment screening programs, please take note that New Hampshire county courts in the country will be closed for Christmas Eve.

New Hampshire Courts will be closed Monday, December 24, 2012 for Christmas Eve.

Corra Group will be closing at Noon Pacific Time, December 24th and will be closed Christmas Day, December 25th.  We will reopen Wednesday, December 26th.
