Man Gets Twenty Years for Workplace Violence

Workplace violence has been an ongoing problem.  There have been escalating incidents of workplace violence, ranging from psychological abuse to rape and murder.  In a recent article, I wrote about workplace violence.  The article was entitled, City of Albuquerque Requests Policy Changes for Workplace Violence.  We at Corra Group have reviewed any number of criminal records where ultimately we discovered the crime had been a violent act in the workplace.

Now here is yet another instance of workplace violence as  posted in an article from BuffaloNews.com   One man stabbed and killed another in the workplace.   He was sentenced to twenty years for his action.   Interestingly enough, the man who did the  stabbing claimed the recent victim was bullying him at work.  A strong  and definitive form of retribution, I would think.  Also illegal and more than a tad over the top.

But then the frustration builds up–all the bullying, the abuse, until something snaps and there you be.   It was an impulse, nothing premeditated.   The aassilant snapped up a knife in the lunchroom and stabbed the other man.  The guilty man regretted his act and apologized to the court.   Didn’t really matter much to the man he killed.
