About To Do Time? Talk to Larry Levine, Jailhouse Consultant

I always love it when people are able to take what may be their worst experiences and turn it into something profitable and worthwhile.   It is taking the proverbial lemon and making lemonade.   It shoes the kind of entrepreneurial spirit that makes me optimistic about our bouncing back fromour current economic condition.

In the case of Larry Levine, we see both sides of the coin working here.  On one hand, Levine, a former convicted felon, has taken what he learned from his own prison experience, and turned it into a business.  According to the Los Angeles Times, Levine founded American Prison Consultants, in 2006.   Levine consuls mainly convicted white collar criminals who are about to start prison sentences.  He tells them what they can expect in the prison environment.   He advises them on how to behave.

Which is the other side of the coin.  There are legions of former white collar executives, financial and mortgae scam artists and Ponzi schemers who have for the past decades made their livings out of fleecing others.   Federal Criminal  Searches and Federal Civil Court searches will reveal quite a few about to make their appearance, or among those who have already been convicted.   With more under investigation and to be indicted over the next couple of years.

Larry Levine should have  alot of business.  If they say timing is everything, then Levine’s has proven impeccable.   There will be a lot of frightened future inmates seeking his consul.   And that is a godo thing, both for Larry Levine and the rest of us who are tired of being scammed and robbed by those who believe they are above the law.

Good luck to Larry an
