In his article on Free or Paid Background checks, the writer cuts to the quick of it and answers all the pertinent questions. I would add one more nugget of wisdom to his, which is the time honored axiom “you get what you paid for.”
As a business owner you can get yourself into a lot of trouble by making assumptions or taking action on candidates based on inaccurate or incomplete information. Be smart. Spend the two dollar. I know it may sound self-serving, but if you are served with a lawsuit, you will wish you had.
